The concern here is the usage and emphasis of the highest term used by Masons. "The Illumed ones" are in the highest levels of Masonry. General Superintendent Thomas Trask of the Assemblies of God has started this 47th General Council with either ignorance or exact knowledge of this word.
Superintendent calls for renewed
awareness
of Spirit's work^i^ (as always I insert ^i^ at my comments)

Subject: Superintendent calls for renewed awareness of Spirit's work
^i^ (Illumination in some form used 8 times below)
General Superintendent Thomas Trask opened the 47th General Council of the Assemblies of God Tuesday night with a keynote message on "The Spirit at Work." Drawing on 2 Corinthians 3:1-18, he focused on what God is doing and what He wants to do in the Assemblies of God-Illumination, Liberation and Transformation. Attendance for the first night of the convention topped 12,500.
^i^ Here is that text.
2 Cor 3:1-18
1 Do we begin again to commend ourselves? or need we, as some others, epistles of commendation to you, or letters of commendation from you?
2 Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:
3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.
4 And such trust have we through Christ to God-ward:
5 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God;
6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.
7 But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:
8 How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious?
9 For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.
10 For even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect, by reason of the glory that excelleth.
11 For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious.
12 Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:
13 And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:
14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.
15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.
16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.
17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. (KJV)
According to Trask, one out of every 156 Christians worldwide in 1900 was Pentecostal/Charismatic. Just 100 years later, he said, by the year 2000, one out of every 2 1/2 Christians will be Pentecostal, and by 2025, one out two!
He reminded the council of two abiding necessities, "the great gospel of an atoning and glorified Lord" along with "the presence and power of the Spirit." The general superintendent said he is excited about what God is doing across the Assemblies of God, "but it is absolutely essential that we recognize it is from God." It's not man's doing, he insisted.
"This is not about Brownsville or Grand Rapids, or Hartville,
Missouri (a city of 400 where the Assembly of God is experiencing
revival and 300 in attendance) or Cedar Rapids...It's what God is
doing. It's not about being slain in the Spirit, not about
falling out...It isn't about manifestations... It is about the
work of the Spirit bringing illumination and liberation and transformation!" he said.
Trask called special attention to these three works of the Spirit. That is what God wants to effect through revival in the Assemblies of God, he said. "I believe that it will happen. I believe that it is happening, but I don't believe that we have arrived there yet."
Rather than concern about how to recognize when we have arrived, he said he prays "we will become so enraptured in the illumination and revelation of who Jesus Christ is as a result of the work of the Holy Spirit that we will be caught up into the third heaven and into His divine presence."
Trask emphasized illumination saying God is giving amazing insights as to how He will reach the masses of people in the last day revival. Asking the lay people in the congregation to stand, he said the Spirit-filled, illuminated pastor will see the potential in the men and women who sit before him or her Sunday after Sunday. God has given them ministry. He described a "vast army of men and women" who want to come along side you and "to make possible what you can't do by yourself."
He said the illuminated pastor will invest himself in these gifted, faithful individuals and multiply their gifts and his gifts to the reaching of the lost of that community. "They have been given ministries...Pastor, they love you. They love Jesus. They love this church. They love the work of God. They will give of their time and talent and treasure."
He urged pastors to realize these lay people are not challenging for authority. "They're wanting to join hands with you." He said when this illumination takes place, miracles will happen.
The illuminated pastor also will see people perishing, Trask said. Holy Ghost revival will be more than blessing the saints. It will be touching, reaching of the lost. "In the days of visitation for this Church, it has always resulted in a harvest of lost men and women, because the Church's heart becomes hot with passion and compassion."
He pointed out "A truly Holy Ghost Church will see and feel with the heart of Christ," making disciples of the people filling the altars. He warned against a "revolving door" of people being reached then slipping away.
Trask cited the "We Build People" discipleship vision of the Christian Education Division as a gift from God. "Pastors you need to get a hold of it!"
On liberation, Trask reminded the crowd,"Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." The Spirit converts bondage into freedom.
Preaching is sheer work when a man preaches as a matter of mere duty, Trask said. But it is easy, joy, fun, when He preaches because it's like a fire shut up in his bones. "Worship is a weariness and a bore when we worship merely as a matter of convention or routine. But it is exaltation and it is rapture when we are in the Spirit on the Lord's Day!"
Trask reminded the convention "You can't use the Spirit. The Spirit uses us." He warned against trying to manufacture a move of God or using liberty as for a show of the flesh. When God's Spirit moves, He does not chase people away. He brings people in, he said.
The superintendent closed the message calling for transformation. Don't be afraid of change, he challenged. This is not a surface work but a deep work and life transforming experience, he declared.
Transformation begins with us, he said, transformation of self. "Christ, the Lord of the Spirit, must be in the heart before we become like Christ in character." Then The Spirit transforms the Church and ultimately the city.
How long will this move of the Spirit last? Until Jesus comes, as long as we continue to be changed, Trask said.

^i^ This General Superintendent Thomas Trask of the Assemblies of God has started this 47th General Council with a message that some magic is about to occur with AOG pastors. Is it an order from Mason headquarters? Or is it an innocent good message about lets as Christians get closer to God? The wording is pretty scaring if one has studied the goals of the Masons. In my studies I find that 1997 is a year of finishing up things to get ready to announce anti-christ. The Gov't has specific plans and 1997 is a critical time to rap up important loose ends. Many other denominations are doing the same. Why? Because a large part of the Last Day's Church is to conform to anti-christ kingdom. There is an 80 year direct push on infiltration of the Church in the USA esp. the Sunday schools by the Masons to ever so slightly change the message to one that at the Last Day's the Church will think Jesus lied because things begin to happen that they believed they would never see. The Assemblies of God, where my background is, is a major factor in Christian influence this century Is this 47th General Council a major turning point? Several major changes have already occurred in the Church that will directly and has directly changed the direction of the Church and your lives. The Church implies it is a good change, but the Bible says otherwise. True Christians will become targets for disposal while main line will seem unaffected until the time it must redirect its worship to anti-christ. Then many will assimilate with ease while others find the toughest decisions in their life occurring, taking the MARK. This is a warning "BEWARE" of these days.
